A Cold Blooded Killer

Usually, couples who sometimes fight draw a conclusion to make up again, and again, and again. For some like Katherine Knight, butchery and extermination could be an option. On February 29th, 2000, Katherine Knight stabbed her boyfriend, John Charles Thomas Price, 37 times. After killing him in cold blood, Katherine decided to skin her lover’s body. Once the skin was removed, Knight chopped Price into chunks and hung his skin on her newly purchased meat hooks. All along the family knew she had some “loose screws” and was very capable of doing some damage.

Katherine’s life history had a dark past full of sexual abuse, trauma, and plenty of violence. She was born in Australia to a young mother, and gruesome father. Her father was a violent alcoholic who forced himself on her mother numerous times a week. Before Katherine turned 11 years old, she was not only sexually abused by several members of her family, but also by her father. In her first marriage, after her husband left her for another woman, Knight sliced the woman’s face open with a knife. Later she was admitted to a Psychiatric hospital.

**Her early childhood alone explains her connection with violence. But nothing will describe why Katherine cut John into small pieces to cook him and feed him to his own adult children. Yes, she decapitated John Price, put his head in a pot, cooked it along with other body parts to serve to his children. She is the very first woman to be sentenced to life without parole in the country of Australia. Knight now resides in New South Wales at the Silverwater Women’s Correctional Centre serving her deserved time... A monster like no other who should never be let out.
