America Needs All Of It's Leaders

Thoughts Regarding The Attempted Assassination Of President Donald J. Trump.

Saturday, July 13th 2024 in Butler, Pennsylvania, Thomas Mathew Crooks attempted to assassinate President Donald J. Trump. This unfortunate incident will be talked about for generations to come. The stability of world peace had already been rocked by ongoing wars between Israel and Palestine, Russia and Ukraine, as well as NATO, China, and Korea throwing their support behind competing regimes.



An attack on any individual seeking to lead their people in these time is grossly unintelligent, barbaric, and unacceptable. Regardless of the differences in what individuals believe or hold dear, violence does not solve anything. It only pushes each of us to more polarized views of what we believe in. It causes tumultuous divides that can take decades to heal, disillusion of core values and a disconnection from the laws which bind our communities, our love for all peoples, and our bond to our nation. It is imperative that Americans continue to believe in peaceful means of protest. It is important that Americans communicate the necessity that there is a peaceful transfer of power at local, state, and federal levels.



President Biden and his team have all demonstrated poise, discretion, and empathy throughout the entire ordeal of the attempted assination of President Trump. All the while, they have shifted their focus to attacking Trump's policies as well as the media during the investigations into the Secret Service's handling of the incident. Meanwhile, President Trump selected J.D. Vance, Senator from Ohio as his Vice President... and did attend the Republican National Convention just days later after the attempt on his life. This event has galvanized the Republican party and seamingly laid a foundation that appears to have emboldened Republicans to declare Mr. Trump to be the next President of The United States.



It will be difficult for Americans to focus on the policies. The attempt on Mr. Trump's life will certainly garner him sympathy from a large segment of the population, especially those who were on the fence. America needs leaders. There's no room for persons who seek to reduce the candidates America has to pick from. Our prayers go out to Mr. Trump and his family as we wish him a swift recovery.
